Leather in United Strangers

Leather in United Strangers

Our leather is selected from free-range cattle in Brazil and Argentina. The raw-hides are then shipped back to our tannery in China where they are processed, treated and dyed, giving us complete control over the entire process. Plus, with over 20 available colors and several different finishes and textures, we offer a flexibility that is difficult for other tanneries to match.

Every piece of work is done totally by hand with the simplest of tools. Each accessory and furniture is made of the finest quality cowhide. The plaiting (braiding) and hand stitching are the signature characteristics of the leatherwork.

There are no machines at United Strangers. We use the simplest of tools: knives, hole punches, straight edge scissors, hammer, awls, needles and bees-waxed thread.

The work is handsome, functional, and of excellent craftsmanship; Each piece requires hours/days of detail and each finished product is unique.
