Caring For Your Product

TERRAZZO: CARING FOR YOUR TERRAZZO
+
Terrazzo is made up of natural stone materials and powders and like any natural material you need to be careful how you maintain it.

General daily cleaning: Use a dust free cloth to wipe away any surface dust. Once the surface is free of dust please use a damp cloth to wipe evenly across the surface. The terrazzo has a protective layer built into the surface so please do not scrub too hard. we recommend wipping the surface down with a damp cloth 3 times. Once done then wipe again with a dry cloth to take excess water away

Spills: The natural stones inside the terrazzo don’t like a cidicsauces sitting on the surface for longer than 10 minutes. Materials such a sketchup, red wine, white wine, mustard and the likes. Please ensure you wipe the excess away with a dry cloth and then follow the general cleaning process above.
BRASS: CARING FOR YOUR BRASS
+

REGULAR CARE:
Wipe down regularly with a dry cotton cloth and make sure to keep dust off the surface.

SCRATCHES: Your item has been protected with a solid layer of polyurethane to help you protect the brass, this helps the scratches from going under the surface and in to the brass underneath. This has been applied by industrial machines. If you find the item has lost its protective coating then please consult a furniture hardware store and ask for polyurethane product that can be applied at home by hand. If you like your product to age with distinction, then you will notice over time it gets a deeper and distinctive look.

SPILLS: When trying to clean the spill, quickly use a dry cloth or sponge, the earlier the spill is removed the better the chance of protecting the brass long term . If you must use a little water then be sure to wipe the area dry afterwards ASAP, we have protected it but certain ingredients will eat away at the protective layer.

AVOID SOAKING: Please don’t use soapy water or keep the material with excess water on the surface as the acids from the soaps will eat away at the brass.

SUNLIGHT EXPOSURE: Just like your skin, keep direct sun exposure to suitable levels. If you want your product to age and become more vintage then please leave it in an exposed area as this help the patina to age.
CARPET: CARING FOR YOUR CARPETS
+
Remove spills immediately. If liquids or blots are formed on the carpet take a clean undyed cloth and press firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible. If the spill isn’t removed and is deep inside the carpet please contact a specialist or also try trimming the wool fibres with scissors but be careful not to go too deep and leave voids in the carpet. Hand brush or light vacuum regularly to prevent dust and crumbs from setting on the base of the rug. Keep away from sharp objects and also naked flames such as fireplaces. The material is natural and any small embers may set alight the product. Exposure to direct sunlight may result in colour fading. Rugs placed in daylight areas must be turned and rotated often. This rug is for indoor use only. Avoid using in damp areas such as basements and bathrooms as well as kitchens. Never fold or put your carpet in an airtight plastic bag. Occasionaly have your rug professionally cleaned and let air-dry. Do not dry clean
LEATHER : CARING FOR YOUR LEATHER
+
FIRST TIP: Wipe it down regularly. Use a dry cotton cloth and make sure to get inside the crevices and keep dust off the surface. Feel free to even use the vacuum in the crevices.

LEATHER CONDITIONER: If you want the leather to stay primed then invest in some reputable leather conditioners, Look for leather with a creamy consistency which buffs in well, check the conditioner labels for application and look to condition every 6 months.

SPILLS: When trying to clean the spills, quickly use a dry cloth or sponge. If you must use a little water then be sure to wipe the area dry afterwards away from sunlight and naked flames.

AVOID SOAKING: Due to the natural material and processing methods of the leather do not soak it in soapy water or keep it drenched in water for too long and if you do, DO NOT USE DETERGENTS OR CLEANING PRODUCTS WHICH ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR FULL LEATHER.

SMALL SCRATCHES: It’s a natural material and can occasionally dry out and small scratches will appear. Just like scratches on our skin these can heal themselves. Just get a micro fiber cloth and give them a gentle buff until their appearances fade. If the cracks are still appearing then please use the leather cleaner / restoration material to bring it back to life.

SUNLIGHT EXPOSURE: Keep direct sun exposure to suitable levels. Too much direct exposure will dry the leather out and will need leather conditioning more regularly than usual.
